Getting Help
Our hearts go out to all those affected by Hurricane Helene. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing community for the overwhelming support and food donations for our Jackson County neighbors in need. Your generosity truly makes a difference during this challenging time.
We rely heavily on MANNA Food Bank in Asheville for our food supplies. Unfortunately, with the distribution center being destroyed, we currently have no way of knowing when we will be able to start ordering food from them again.
We appreciate your continued support and understanding as we navigate this situation together.

How we can help
Food Assistance:
We have a full assortment of food items available: fresh fruits and vegetables, canned foods, frozen meats, cereals, pastas, soup, oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, and more.
Personal Items & Household Goods:
When available, we provide personal toiletry items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.) and household items (toilet paper, dish detergent, etc.). These items are donated by our generous local donors and are not always available. We do not provide furniture, clothing, household items, mattresses, or appliances.
Financial Assistance:
Limited financial assistance is available to residents of Jackson County for past due utilities, past due rent, heating, prescription co-pays, and other bills as funding allows. To apply for financial assistance, please bring an official bill or statement showing the amount due, as well as contact information for the agency to be paid. Proof of Jackson County residency is needed to receive assistance. If we can assist you, we will pay the provider directly. We provide financial assistance once every twelve months. A questionnaire is offered to all neighbors seeking financial assistance. The questionnaire assists us in receiving grant funding.
Other Assistance:
When available during the winter months, we distribute donated blankets and cold weather items. For Thanksgiving, we provide items for your Thanksgiving meal. For Christmas, we partner with our local schools to provide food bags for families to help ease the added food needs when schools are out for Winter Break.
Spiritual Assistance
As a Christian Ministry, we would be honored to provide you with a bible, bible study aids, or a referral to a local pastor.
Referrals:
If we cannot meet all of your needs, we can refer you to other agencies with whom we have good working relationships.
