PLAN YOUR VISIT

No identification is required to receive food. Please drive up to the front of the building and wait for one of our friendly volunteers to assist you. Our hours of operation are as follows: 

- Monday, Thursday, and Friday: 10 AM - 3 PM  
- Tuesday: 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM  
- Wednesday: 10 AM - 12:30 PM  

We are located at 191 Skyland Drive, Sylva, NC. To ensure we can help you, please arrive at least 15 minutes before our closing time.

How can we help

Food Assistance:
We have a full assortment of food items available: fresh fruits and vegetables, canned foods, frozen meats, cereals, pastas, soup, oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, and more.

Personal Items & Household Goods: We offer personal toiletry items such as soap, shampoo, and toothpaste, as well as household items like toilet paper and dish detergent, when available. These items are generously donated by local supporters so that availability may vary. Please note that we do not provide furniture, clothing, mattresses, or appliances.

Financial Assistance:

Limited financial assistance is available to residents of Jackson County for past due utilities, rent, heating costs, prescription co-pays, and other bills, as long as funding permits. 

To apply for financial assistance, please bring an official bill or statement showing the amount due, along with the contact information for the agency to be paid. You must also provide proof of residency in Jackson County to receive assistance. If we can help you, we will pay the provider directly.

Financial assistance can be provided once every twelve months. 

Other Assistance: During the winter months, we distribute donated blankets and cold-weather items as they become available. For Thanksgiving, we provide Food Lion giftcards to help with your holiday meal. For Christmas, we partner with local schools to distribute food bags for families, easing the extra food needs that arise when schools are closed for Winter Break.

Spiritual Assistance

As a Christian Ministry, we would be honored to provide you with a bible, bible study aids, or a referral to a local pastor.

Referrals:
If we cannot meet all of your needs, we can refer you to other agencies we work well with.
